Terms, conditions and further information:

Please note that by commissioning our services and/or approving your artwork and/or making payment to us, you are accepting these terms and conditions in full.

PRICES, PAYMENT AND TURNAROUND:

Prices include VAT (where applicable) and delivery**. Payment is required in full prior to printing. We currently accept cash, cheques and online transfers and we hope to be able to accept credit card payments in the near future. Turnaround is 2-10 working days (depending on product type, service level and quantity) from client approval of artwork and receipt of payment in full prior to 3 pm. Each quote will detail the estimated turnaround time for each item ordered. Please note that the turnaround times are estimates and not guaranteed. Your job may arrive earlier or later than originally stated. Should your job be delayed please note that we cannot cancel your job or refund you and you accept that, on rare occasions, unforeseen delays can happen and that you’ve accounted for this. Quotes are correct at the time of issue but are subject to change at any time without notice.

ARTWORK PROOF(S):

Your proof(s) will be supplied in PDF format, other formats are available upon request. If we have quoted you for design and/or artwork then the price includes up to 3 proofing stages (unless otherwise stated), each further proofing stage required will be charged at £10 each. Please note that your computer, mobile device or printout can NOT accurately portray the colours of the proof and the colours on the final printed item(s) may look slightly different (PLEASE NOTE: colours viewed on mobile devices such as iPads/tablets and mobile phones can sometimes appear dramatically different). All of our printing is done using 4-colour process (CMYK). Design & Print Scotland maintains full copyright of any original artwork and/or other intellectual property unless otherwise agreed in writing and payment has been received in full. The unauthorised use or reproduction of any original artwork and/or intellectual property created by Design & Print Scotland is forbidden.

ARTWORK APPROVAL:

While every effort is made to ensure that the content of your artwork is correct, we accept no responsibility or liability for spelling errors, grammatical errors or typos. It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that the content of the artwork they approved for print is correct. After approval and payment have been received, and/or the artwork is at the production or print stage, it CAN NOT BE CHANGED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES and will still be delivered to you so please DOUBLECHECK YOUR ARTWORK. We exclude all liability for any direct or indirect losses caused by errors (please see the ‘liability’ section). We highly recommend you archive any files you are sent in case you wish to reuse them in the future. While we make every effort to keep jobs and associated files and records archived, backed up and retrievable, some or all data loss may occur and we exclude all liability (see ‘liability’ section).

QUANTITIES:

Variations in respect of quantities are inherent within the printing industry and our liability in respect of shortages are approximately as follows: Shortage between: 0%-5%*, no credit awarded Shortage between: 6%-15%*, pro-rata credit awarded Shortage over: 15%*, missing items reprinted *depending on the initial quantity ordered the percentages may vary.

QUALITY AND REPLACEMENTS:

We do not offer a colour matching or a ‘spot colour’ printing service and Pantone spot colour matches cannot be produced using the full colour (4 colour) process. Colour variations are inherent within the printing process for files submitted. You also understand and accept that computer hardware set-ups are such that we cannot guarantee that the product colours will match those displayed on your computer screen. Due to the nature of the printing process, we shall not be required to guarantee an exact match in colour or texture between the printed results and any proof. Due to the ink tolerances involved in the four-colour printing process, slight variance in finished printed colour is inevitable. Any proofs issued by us are NOT colour-accurate and are issued for content checking only. On rare occasions, marks, imperfections and/or differences in colour may appear, especially on large areas of flat colour. If you have any concerns or questions about the colour reproduction or quality of your job then more information and advice about the 4 colours printing process is available upon request. In the unlikely event that you believe that a product is defective we must be notified within 3 days of receipt of the job. We will request that you send samples to us by post which will then be passed on to our supplier(s) for examination. We have the right to dispute any issues and can reasonably refuse to accept any liability. Our liability for accepted damages and/or misprints are as follows: between: 0%-5%*, no credit awarded between: 6%-15%*, pro-rata credit awarded over: 15%*, missing items reprinted *depending on the initial quantity ordered the percentages may vary.
